We're excited to start our next project with Westmead Health and Innovation Precinct project, in partnership with the Greater Cities Commission. Our focus is on enhancing the precinct's status as a world-class Innovation District through research and stakeholder engagement. Our work will support the NSW Government's vision for the region and lay the groundwork for collaborative planning. We are excited to collaborate with NH Architecture in leading the redevelopment of Canberra's historic Kingston Arts Precinct, transforming it into a world-class cultural hub. The project, in partnership with the Suburban Land Agency, aims to integrate heritage assets, celebrate local culture, and engage the community in crafting a vibrant and innovative artistic landscape over the next 12 months

We're thrilled to partner with Brookvale Arts District (BAD), a hub of creativity and innovation on Sydney's Northern Beaches. BAD's recent win of the Uptown Accelerator Program grant highlights its commitment to excellence. Our role at Reactivate is to support BAD's growth and development, leveraging our expertise in place strategy and government engagement. We're excited to be part of BAD's journey as it evolves into a dynamic cultural center, preserving its rich history and nurturing its creative community.

Reactivate consulting helped Investment NSW - Office of the 24 Hour Economy with their Inaugural Uptown District Accelerator Program in 2022. The program was designed to help aid Sydney’s creative-led recovery from Covid-19 and build vibrant, multi-generational, accessible, and self-sustaining precincts by upskilling existing districts and building the capacity of new ones.

The Reactivate team has been proudly working with the community at The Langston Epping for over four years! This transformational mixed-use development, opposite Epping Train Station, has been a wonderful opportunity for our team to work across the entire lifecycle of a project, from community engagement and placemaking strategy development, right through to on the ground activations!

Embarking on an innovative site tour, we welcomed Michael Rodrigues, the 24 Hour Economy Commissioner for NSW, to experience the transformative vision of Jacksons on George. Led by DTL Entertainment Group with visionary Maurice Terzini at the helm, this three-level marvel promises a modern pub, a lavish restaurant and wine bar, and a sun-kissed rooftop terrace.

Tanvi Varshney has joined the Reactivate team as our Place and Engagement Consultant. Tanvi has recently graduated from the University of Sydney with a Masters in Urbanism (Urban Design) and has experience working in India, Dubai, and Australia.  

Reactivate Consulting's Co-Founder, Mr. Andrew Coward, assumes the role of Co-Chair of ULI Australia’s Sydney District Council, showcasing his expertise and dedication to urban development. The appointment follows a period of effective leadership by Belinda Bentley, aligning with Reactivate Consulting's commitment to excellence in the built environment sector.

We're thrilled to collaborate with the City of Launceston on enhancing the CBD's vitality. Together with SGS Economics and Planning, we're preparing a white paper to address shopfront vacancy and activation issues. Our recommendations will focus on infrastructure, programming, and governance to create a vibrant urban environment.

Reactivate has been engaged by City of Canterbury Bankstown to design and deliver the first Campsie Street Festival, as part of the NSW Department of Planning and Environment’s Festival of Place Open Streets Program, which supports community events and activities that see streets reimagined as places for people.

Sydney's vibrant CBD witnessed the birth of the YCK Laneways Precinct, a dynamic collaboration led by Reactivate Consulting, Time Out, and 15 visionary small bars. The precinct's success reverberated through the city, echoing the importance of lively urban spaces and thriving cultural experiences, aligning with the City of Sydney's draft 2050 Vision, and inviting all to shape the future of this vibrant cityscape.

Reactivate is transforming The Foundations Portland in Portland NSW into a vibrant arts, science, and cultural destination. Their Place Activation Plan highlights the town's rich history and community. Portland Soundtrails, an innovative audio guide that showcases the town's hidden gems and stories through location-based storytelling. This initiative aims to revitalize Portland while preserving its legacy and promoting sustainability.

Our director, Andrew Coward, recently facilitated the Night Time Industries Association Recovery Brunch, held in partnership with the Sydney Fringe and the City of Sydney at The Famous Spiegeltent, home of Bernie Dieter’s Club Kabarett pop-up. 

The Reactivate team have been lucky to lead the creative and cultural programming, community development and activation of the heritage Mungo Scott building in Sydney’s Flour Mill of Summer Hill for the past few years.

The Reactivate team are excited to announce we’ve been appointed by Ecorr, owners of The Foundations Portland in Portland NSW, to support its green transition from former company cement town, to an arts, science and cultural destination. Reactivate have developed a Place Activation Plan and are in the process of delivering it.

In October 2021, our Director and Co-founder Andrew Coward, was elected to NSW’s first ever 24-Hour Advisory Group. Andrew will serve on the board for 12 months and will meet with other leading thinkers across sectors on a quarterly basis.
